Light, dark ruby-red color. The nose reveals notes of ripe cherries, blackcurrant jam, spicy aromas and delicate hints of leather. The palate is round, rich in full fruit and freshness, with fine minerality and subtle hints of licorice and toast. After de-stemming and gentle pressing, the grapes undergo traditional vinification. Fermentation takes place over 8-10 days at controlled temperatures of 25-28°c. To bring out the wine's fresh, rich fruity aromas to the full, storage in wooden barrels is deliberately avoided. The Roux family acquired Château du Trignon in 1896 and has since transformed it over five generations from a diversified traditional agricultural estate into one focused on high-quality viticulture, with properties in the Gigondas, Rasteau, Sablet and Côtes du Rhône regions. The demand for quality has been underpinned by multiple investments in the vineyards and the construction of modern, temperature-controlled cellars. In 2007, the quiot family took over the estate, seduced by the expressive wines and the 'dentelles de montmirail', a rocky landscape made up of several small ridges. Since then, an additional 10 hectares have been added to the estate in Vacqueyras, in order to produce and develop wines in keeping with the estate's tradition and quality. Allergene:enthält sulfite
