Our parcels of 1er Cru Vaulignot are hand-picked, as are all our 1er Crus and Grands Crus. Generally, we pick this 1er Cru a few days after the 1er Cru Vaillons, to give the grapes time to reach full ripeness. Vaulignot is the perfect example of a classic Chablis Premier Cru. On the nose, citrus notes and freshness are reinforced by a hint of acidity on the finish, mingled with buttery aromas that give it suppleness. The iodine notes are pleasantly present in this Premier Cru, typical of the Chablis terroir.
