The Domaine d'Edouard vineyard was planted in the 1960s. At the time, Antoine Donat decided to replant vines on the hillsides of Vaux-Auxerre. He created the domaine dessus bon boire, in reference to a locality, and relaunched wine production in the village. Over the years, other winemakers followed in his footsteps. In the 1980s, he passed on the estate to his son André, who took over. He continued his father's work and expanded the vineyard by successive plantings. He decided to convert the vineyard to organic viticulture in the late 90s, being a pioneer in the region at the time. He decided to hand over the business in 2014, during which time édouard lepesme worked with him on the estate. Le domaine d'édouard was born of this takeover. the estate comprises 14 hectares of vines that have been certified organic since the early 2000s. The parcels are planted on the village's two hillsides: the north-facing, south-facing slope, positioned between Vaux and Auxerre, with Jurassic and Cretaceous soils (Kimmeridgian, Portlandian, Cretaceous) and a slightly more marked
