Sire du Château La Tour is an AOP Haut-Médoc produced at Château La Tour Carnet, in the commune of Saint-Laurent-Médoc, Gironde. Blended from 4 grape varieties (Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot) planted on clay-limestone soil mixed with gravel, this dark red wine reveals a complex nose of black fruits. The 18-month barrel ageing process is clearly visible. On the palate, the acidity brings a fine balance. Enjoy with game birds, grilled roast beef or strong cheeses.
Taste
Young reds are full-bodied, marked by a touch of oak and hints of sweet spices. After a few years' cellaring, the tannins mellow.
