Second wine of a second Grand Cru Classé, Château Gruaud Larose, on one of the Médoc's finest terroirs. Sarget de Gruaud-Larose, like its predecessor Gruaud Larose, stands out for its constant concern to produce a wine of excellence as naturally as possible. With an average age of 25 years, the vines benefit from soils composed of Garonne gravel. The wine is aged for a minimum of 14 months in barrels (15% in new barrels and the rest in one- or two-wine barrels).
Appearance
Dense, dark garnet-red color, tending toward violet in its youth.
Aroma
The nose is composed of violets and empyreumatic aromas such as wood, torrefaction, vanilla... As the wine ages, it will reveal high-quality game and truffle aromas.

Taste
Saint-Julien wines are renowned for combining the feminine finesse of Margaux wines with the strength of Pauillac wines. As a result, we'll find full-bodied tannins with a strong note of black fruit, giving an interesting overall balance.
