In a few words ...
In April 2010, William D. Friedberg (a Burgundy-crazy American importer who bought over 20 years' worth of wines at Hospices auctions) donated a 60-acre parcel of Pinot Noir AOC Santenay to the Hospices, a generous gesture to honor the memory of his late wife, Christine, who was also a great lover of Burgundy. The production from this parcel of Santenay, which now enriches the Hospices' winegrowing heritage, was auctioned for the first time in 2010.
