Color: dark red with brick-red highlights. Characteristics: the glass gives off a seductive, slightly mysterious scent. A quick glance, a whiff and you're in the south of France, in the vineyards of Domaine La Grange. The nose: black fruits, especially blackcurrants, mixed with freshly chopped raisins, with a hint of rosemary and thyme in the background. In the background, the pepper of the Syrah is highlighted, along with a delicate note of barrel ageing: vanilla, a little tobacco and milk chocolate. Above all, mention must be made of the supple, fine tannins that give the wine a backbone and capture the prodigious richness of the black fruit. Plum, raspberry, blueberry, all wrapped up in the spices of the garrigue. The potential of the barn's old vines is revealed here. A wonderfully complex wine that's also very accessible.
