In a few words ...
Traditional red Banyuls is a blend of vintages. When around 80 g/l of residual sugar remain, the wine is transferred to neutral alcohol (99% vol.). The wine is then aged under oxidative conditions in 30 hl tuns and in glass carboys left in the sun to accelerate ageing.
