Domaine du trapadis - rasteau 'les cras' region: rhône valley, france appellation: aoc rasteau grape varieties: grenache: 60% syrah: 30% mourvèdre: 10% characteristics: color: deep red with purple highlights. Nose: intense and complex, with aromas of black fruits (blackberry, blackcurrant), garrigue (aromatic herbs), spices (black pepper, licorice) and lightly woody touches. Palate: full-bodied and powerful, with a fine tannic structure. Black fruits dominate, accompanied by spices and light chocolate notes. The finish is long and persistent, with a touch of minerality. Terroir: clay-limestone terraces and rolled pebbles typical of the Rasteau terroir, enabling excellent grape concentration. Climate: Mediterranean, hot and dry, with favorable breezes that temper the high summer temperatures. Vinification: fermentation in concrete vats, with long macerations to extract maximum color, tannins and aromas. Aging: in vats and demi-muids for 18 to 24 months, allowing the wine to gain in complexity and balance while retaining the freshness of the fruit. Food pairing: perfect with red meats in sauce, game, beef bourguignon or hard cheeses.
