A Ventoux wine just the way I like it. Fruity, light and full of taste. A hint of peppery herbs and cherries, just like the cherries that grow in the area.

Deep, limpid garnet color
1st nose: garrigue, heather, then a hint of black cherry. Notes of menthol.
A fairly round attack on the palate, with a typically "southern" body that's present but airy. Still a southern vegetation and black olive character. Not very complex, the wine remains straightforward on the mid-palate before losing some of its chewiness at the end. A short finish that leaves a little dryness on the tongue due to tannins that are still a little young.
A wine to be served slightly chilled (15-16°), perfect for summer evenings. It calls for simple grills. Very nice QRP (at 9€)

The appellation Ventoux is part of the region of Vallée du Rhône from France which include Domaine Les Patys and its 0 cuvées. Spread over The Rhone Valley and its rich, complex terroirs. The region is divided into two distinct subregions: Northern Rhone (known as Rhône Septentrional) and Southern Rhone (Rhône Méridional). In the former we find strong wines in beautiful colours with warm, spicy notes, produced by vineyards that stretch 4,700 ha along the Rhone. The latter, with an area of 71,000 ha, is much more important, and this is evident of course in its annual production of red, rosé and white wines quite unlike those of the Northern Rhone., this region is 3 million hectolitres per year of red wines, rosés, dry and sparkling white wines, and natural sweet wine..
