Château Roc de Calon
Vignobles Laydis covers 21 hectares on the western slope of the Butte de Calon, in the heart of the Montagne Saint-Émilion appellation. It produces Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and a touch of Merlot.
In the Laydis family, a passion for wine has been passed down for 4 generations. The estate was created in 1922, when Théophile Marcelou planted the first vines that would become Château Roc de Calon. Since July 2023, Thomas Laydis has been at the helm, carrying on the family legacy. Since 2022, Château Roc de Calon has been working with oenologist-consultant Thomas Duclos, from the ŒnoTeam laboratory, to support the development of its wines.
