Cuvée Prélude "Grands Crus" is composed of 50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Noir, selected by Taittinger exclusively from the "Grands Crus" vineyards, which are 100% classified on the Champagne crus scale. Made from Cuvée wines (first press only), this rare blend provides the finesse and structure required of a great Champagne for long ageing. On the palate, it offers the ideal harmony between the crisp minerality of Chardonnay and the powerful aromatic expression of Pinot Noir. Aged for more than 5 years in our cellars, Cuvée Prélude stands out for its remarkable youthfulness and richness of flavor.
"Grands Crus" in the plural, because it's a blend of equal parts Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. A pearly gold brut full of assets: an intense nose of flowers, tangerine and spices, a fresh attack on the palate, ample and long."
Appearance
Bright, pale yellow with silvery highlights, a sign of the high proportion of great Chardonnays.
Aroma
The nose is fine and fresh. The first aromas are mineral and quickly become vegetal, then floral, with scents of elderflowers mixed with spicy touches of cinnamon.

Taste
The attack on the palate is lively and frank, dominated by notes of very fresh citrus fruit. It then becomes much fuller, round and silky, with flavors of white peach in syrup.
