Pinot Gris Rittersberg Grande Réserve Domaine Jean-Paul Schmitt White wine ● Alsace Pinot Gris
2012 75clFrom granite soils with some calcareous loess the white golden 2012 Pinot Gris Rittersberg Grande Réserve shows a deep and intense bouquet of ripe fruits along with some elegant oak flavors. Fermented in demi-muids for 11 months and aged in stainless steel for another 12 months, this rich yet pure and dry, very intense and mineral, elegant and expressive wine is very well structured and provided with a long, complex and salty finish. Drink this excellent, low-yielding Pinot Gris over the next 5 to 8 years. 92/100 Robert Parker's Wine Advocate - September 2015 - Stephan Reinhardt
