The new owner of the estate, luc bontemps, is an ex-journalist who recently became a winemaker. He began his career in the Loire: a one-year work-study program at the Lycée Viticole d'Amboise and at the domaine Chahut et Prodiges, owned by Grégory Leclerc. Then it was off to the Tarn to continue his training as a woofer at Charles Bonnafont's domaine Cinq Peyres. It was the first time he had set foot in Occitanie, and he was immediately won over by the beauty of the landscape, the hospitality of the people and the mildness of the climate. But the decisive factor in his move to the region was his meeting with charles, a passionate winemaker who shares his knowledge and love of wine with no holds barred. And as fate would have it, two years after that first meeting, Clos rocailleux, a neighboring estate of five peyres, was put up for sale. In organic conversion since 2018, its grapes are harvested, vinified and aged naturally! The land covers 13 hectares on a limestone plateau 300 meters above sea level. The vineyard covers 7.5 hectares spread over seven separate plots. This relatively small surface area allows us to monitor the vines.
