"This is the perfect Côtes-du-Rhône", said Thierry Desseauve about the Cuvée Spéciale 2017 with its Grenache Vieilles Vignes harvested near Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Michel Tardieu, creator of the wine estate, is "one of the greatest connoisseurs of the Rhone Valley wines" according to Thierry Desseauve, "this expert knowledge allows him to choose the best vines and the best grapes to create extraordinary wines." Finally, the other asset of the domain is the breeding in barrels, which "sublimates remarkable wines".
Tardieu-Laurent wins the 5 stars in the Bettane+Desseauve Wine Guide 2020.
You can mix your order with all Tardieu-Laurent's remarkable wines

Best Young Sommelier of France when he was 21 years old, Hervé Bizeul opens a wine bar in Paris a few years later. He then becomes a journalist, specialized in wine and gastronomy.
In 1997, he moved in an isolated village of Roussillon, Vingrau, in the middle of a huge limestone circus in the most mountainous area of the vineyard. He buys few vines to spend time on weekends. He meets his wife Claudine at this time and offers her to start a crazy wine project. This is how they created, without money, Le Clos des fées in 1998.
The idea of departure? Produce for friends, no big financial stakes. The first cuvées are pressed in a linen, Hervé and Claudine have no means but a lot of passion. From the first harvest, the wines of Clos des Fées are very successful. They are today exported worldwide.
A great name in a mythical bottle, the twilers are not mistaken. This wine garnered the highest rating from the community in 2018! The bottle's design, very atypical, does not prevent falling in love with the wine it contains, on the contrary. This Châteauneuf-du-Pape offers incomparable complexity, for a price defying all competition.
Do not dare to tell Guillaume Boussens that Domaine de Dernacueillette is located in Languedoc-Roussillon. It is in the country of Cucugnan, perched at 600m altitude.
A great winemaker (by size, appetite and talent), an authentic character, big mouth, that the whole team met (and loved) on the Wine Fair.
His wines are balanced, with a beautiful complexity and always in finesse. This natural winemaking, without any input (just a homeopathic dose of sulfur), which allows to highlight his exceptional terroir.
Mas de l'Oncle produces a Pic-Saint-Loup (Languedoc) with a rising reputation. The vineyards are high planted (about 200m above sea level) and the wines are high-level, with extremely reasonable prices in a place where prices are booming. Fabrice Bonmarchand, building engineer for 15 years before returning to the sources, takes over the estate in 2011, since Mas de l'Oncle is experiencing an impressive revival. Neighbor of Clos Marie, it is located on "one of the most beautiful terroirs of the pic Saint-Loup" according to the Guide Hachette des Vins. The wines are representative of what is best on the appellation with typical grape varieties of the region such as syrah, grenache, mourvèdre, carignan and cinsault but also chenanson, a hybrid of jurançon and grenache noir, a rare variety created in the 1950s in Montpellier. The exploitation is conducted in organic farming since 2011. Fabrice is a winemaker to follow very closely, at Twil we love his wines with fruit, freshness and a fine touch of wood.
The cuvée "Tsar Pierre le Grand" from Château Eugénie, a family property in Cahors, is the favorite of the journalist and oenologist Dominique Hutin who recommended it in the famous radio program "On va Déguster".
This is a "rather soft" wine and "poorly supported in color", which is quite amazing in this southwestern region, he says.
The name of the cuvée is a nod to the Russian Tsar who cared for his stomach with Cahors wine. It is said that its tannins have healing properties!
"Les Moutonnes" of Domaine Bonnefond is the authentic Côte-Rôtie, made as at the time of our grandparents. It's also the cheapest in the world! Just that :)
This year they propose a new vintage, a great 2016 that will be remembered.
Our advice: keep it 2 years in the cellar, its tannins will round out and its bouquet will develop for a real explosion of aromas.
