Monnières – Saint Fiacre Domaine Girard White wine ● Muscadet-Sèvre-et-Maine
2014 75clThis cuvée comes from a single plot on the slopes of the Sèvre river. The vines are over 40 years old, and the wine is aged on lees for a minimum of 2 years, with one or two bâtonnages (stirring of the lees) per year to significantly increase the wine's fatness and richness.
"The nose smells of pear and quince, jasmine and clove. After a powerful attack, the same aromas dominate a seductive palate, while a nuance of cut hay and a touch of bitterness on the finish provide pleasant freshness."
Appearance
Pale yellow with golden highlights.
Aroma
Complex nose, opening with notes of citrus fruit, toasted almond and a touch of honey, refreshed by a hint of aniseed.
