Thanks to the great 2010 vintage, Bertrand, Amaury and Aurore Devillard, heirs to the Marquis de Jouennes, have decided to create a grand cuvée called "Les Cinq". The best parts (228-liter Burgundy barrels) of the five red Premiers Crus of the Château de Chamirey estate are blended to create this Grand Vin. They are all first-class Premier Crus from the village of Mercurey: - Mercurey Premier Cru Les Ruelles (Domaine Monopole) - Mercurey Premier Cru Clos du Roi - Mercurey Premier Cru Sazenay - Mercurey Premier Cru Clos l'Evêque - Mercurey Premier Cru Champ Martin For this 2011 vintage, 8 wines have been selected, matured and bottled in magnums, jeroboams and mathusalems, representing the equivalent of 2,662 bottles.
Appearance
Bright, dark ruby color.
Aroma
Powerful nose, with aromas of fruit in alcohol (Morello cherry) and notes of sweet spices (cinnamon, nutmeg) and wood.

Fruity, woody notes. Tannins are present and firm but silky. Long-lasting aromas and good length on the palate.
