Domaine de Coste Chaude grows 23 hectares of vines on a hilltop to the east of Visan at an altitude of around 360 meters, giving the wines a natural freshness! It's a full-bodied, powerful wine, with a long finish that lingers on the cocoa and black fruit liqueur.

Appearance
Bright, limpid cherry-red color with slight purple nuances.
Aroma
The rich, expressive nose develops licorice, coffee and chocolate notes. Aeration also reveals beautiful stewed red and black fruits (strawberry, blackberry), as well as fruits in alcohol (kirsh).

Taste
The palate is velvety, full-bodied and fleshy, with cocoa and spice aromas underlined by hints of black fruit. The finish is marked by slightly powdery tannins and a hint of cocoa bitterness.

The appellation Côtes-du-Rhône-Villages Visan is part of the region of Vallée du Rhône from France which include Domaine de Coste Chaude and its 15 cuvées. Spread over The Rhone Valley and its rich, complex terroirs. The region is divided into two distinct subregions: Northern Rhone (known as Rhône Septentrional) and Southern Rhone (Rhône Méridional). In the former we find strong wines in beautiful colours with warm, spicy notes, produced by vineyards that stretch 4,700 ha along the Rhone. The latter, with an area of 71,000 ha, is much more important, and this is evident of course in its annual production of red, rosé and white wines quite unlike those of the Northern Rhone., this region is 3 million hectolitres per year of red wines, rosés, dry and sparkling white wines, and natural sweet wine..
