From the very first tasting, it's easy to see why this Madiran is a favorite of the Hachette guide! Tannic yet subtle, well-balanced. Bravo!

I first ordered 3 cartons of 6 bottles in December 2022, and was seduced by the quality/price ratio (7.20€ at this special price), so I bought a new carton in January. Plan to open it a good half-hour before consumption, or risk finishing the last glass and finding that it's the best. Personally, I like it rather chilled (like its little brothers), around 15°c. After that, for my taste, it smells too much of alcohol. A 2016 wine that seems to have reached maturity. No need to wait for it to decline before complaining. So, normally, it shouldn't see 2024.

I don't know the 2015 vintage but 2009 and 2011. A dark wine with a blackberry aroma, a hint of cassis and a long finish. To be recommended with quality charcuterie or a good duck breast.

Very good madiran dark wine with notes of spices and black fruits like blackberry and blackcurrant I consumed it with a cassoulet ideal with a duck breast

A Madiran true to its appellation, full-bodied with notes of black fruit, to be decanted a little before drinking.

A very pleasant surprise with this Madiran from Domaine Sergent, with its aromas of black fruits and spices!
