    In a few words ...

Second wine of the house, vines planted on gravel soils for the Cabernet Sauvignon and clay for the Merlot. As with the first wine, the cuvées from this estate are treated with the utmost care. Produced at Château Lagrange since 1983, Les Fiefs de Lagrange is the second wine from the estate known for its Saint-Julien Grand Cru Classé 1855. Les Fiefs is a subtle blend of Merlot (clay soil), Cabernet Sauvignon (fine gravel terroir) and Petit Verdot (clay-limestone soil). The wine has an intensely dark red color. On the nose, delicate aromas of red and black fruit (blackcurrant, cherry, raspberry), followed by a hint of spice. Smooth and fresh, the palate is well-balanced.

    Tasting notes

    Appearance

Dense, dark garnet color, drawing on purple in its youth.

    Aroma

The nose reveals notes of violet and empyreumatic like wood, roasting, vanilla ... In aging, the wine will reveal very high quality game or truffle aromas.

    Taste

The wines of Saint-Julien are famous for mixing the feminine finesse of Margaux wines with the strength of Pauillac wines. We will find therefore structured tannins with a note of black fruits important that will give an interesting overall balance.
