In 1961, Louis Rapin, maternal grandfather of Nathalie Despagne and owner of Château La Tour Figeac (Grand cru classé de Saint Emilion), bought his neighbor's vineyard in the Pomerol appellation. Around this small estate, he grouped other parcels and renamed the whole "Château La Rose Figeac". Following a succession within the Rapin-Despagne family (present in Saint-Emilion for two centuries), Nathalie inherited this beautiful estate, which she took over in August 2013. Since then, a great deal of work has been undertaken: the restructuring of the vineyard, the creation of an operational building housing a modern vat room and barrel cellar, a storage cellar and a "caveau".
Taste
The wine is fruity and lively, with a flattering bouquet (raspberry, blackcurrant, violet). This fruity Pomerol is very pleasant throughout the tasting thanks to its freshness and roundness. Time will bring it to fruition.
