In a few words ...

Petit Haut Lafitte red is dark red, dense and brilliant. The nose, at first discreet, gives off very dark notes of fruit (blackberry, blackcurrant), spices (clove, black pepper) and hints of smoke and earth. The attack on the palate is frank and firm, then opens up and broadens into a beautiful, long curve. Tannic concentration is high but already well integrated. The palate is dense and broad, with good volume and a well-defined texture. This long, well-balanced palate reveals a complex, aromatic finish of black fruits (blackberry, blackcurrant), spices (clove, licorice), tobacco-brown, smoke and flint. Petit Haut Lafitte red 2012 is a structured, balanced, complex wine.
