    In a few words ...

"The great Lafite immediately announces its very strong personality with a deep black color. The first nose is adorned with notes of mocha and toast. Then, in a subtle, elegant atmosphere, scents of ripe fruit, crème de cassis, cedar and tobacco appear. The attack is impressive in its tannic power, opulence and warmth. Dense without being thick, backed by sapid tannins with a tight but silky grain, the palate then reveals a savory, suave and round side, through notes of fruit cooked in the caquelon, enhanced by spices (cinnamon, pepper) and sweet flavors of cappuccino, leather and cocoa. Plenty of substance and volume, but never any heaviness, thanks to an intact freshness from start to finish that also lends exceptional length to this truly harmonious wine. Everything is in place to stand the test of time, for a long, long time... Blessed are those who will be able to taste this exceptional Lafite at its apogee". Guide Hachette des Vins.
