Since the 17th century, the Vaillant family has handed down its land from generation to generation. Together with their team of brothers and sisters, they have been practicing biodynamic viticulture since 2008. To express the authenticity of their wines, they pay particular attention to work in the vineyard. The vines, which are grown organically and biodynamically, cover 55 hectares and are planted with Chenin for the whites, Cabernet Franc, Grolleau and Pineau d'Aunis for the reds, and Cabernet and Grolleau for the rosés. The wines offered by the estate owe their variety to the different exposures and soil types: grey and green schist, phtanite, quartz, coquille falun, sand and rolled gravel. Biodynamic viticulture takes a holistic approach to the plant and its environment, taking into account influences from the earth, air and water. The vine thrives in the best possible environment, making it less susceptible to parasites and limiting the need for copper and sulfur sprays. Developing the soil's microbial life is a priority, so that the roots can draw all the useful elements from the parent rock. Next,
