    In a few words ...

La Sergue is a wine in a class of its own. A combination of Lalande de Pomerol's three finest terroirs and an original blend of the region's three key grape varieties, La Sergue always synthesizes the quintessence of the vintage. An essential reference in the appellation, La Sergue is a blend of Merlot (80-85%), Cabernet Franc (8-12%) and Malbec (3-5%), harvested at perfect maturity and aged in ba... rrels for 14 to 16 months. This wine is characterized by a dense color and a fat, silky mouthfeel par excellence. Bottle ageing is necessary for its natural complexity to blossom.  Read more

3 terroirs, 3 grape varieties from old vines. Ripe black fruit on the nose. Round, intense plum, blackberry and blackcurrant on the palate. Smooth tannins and long finish. A real winner!

Really top-notch! For me, the hint of malbec makes all the difference and puts this wine off the beaten track! An unexpected and very, very good Lalande de Pomerol!

Good maturity, a well-made Lalande, nothing to say. May improve for another 1 or 2 years.
