In a few words ...
This appellation covers eleven communes in a triangle formed by the hill of Tain l'Hermitage, the Rhône and the Isère. In terms of volume, it is the largest of the northern crus. The vineyards are located at the bottom of the hillside, with some granitic arena but mostly quaternary alluvial deposits from the Isère, and clay soils with varying degrees of gravel. We select our cuvée from several of the appellation's cellars, long-standing partners of the house.

Beautiful violet hue.
Aroma
High-intensity aromas of blackcurrant and violet, with lightly woody, spicy notes of white pepper, licorice, vanilla and black olives. A hint of bay leaf.

Taste
Harmonious and firm on the palate, with cherry and blackcurrant aromas complemented by a lovely tertiary touch of fine tannins.

Crozes-Hermitage
The appellation Crozes-Hermitage is part of the region of Vallée du Rhône from France which include Maison Brotte - Sélection and its 20 cuvées. Spread over The Rhone Valley and its rich, complex terroirs. The region is divided into two distinct subregions: Northern Rhone (known as Rhône Septentrional) and Southern Rhone (Rhône Méridional). In the former we find strong wines in beautiful colours with warm, spicy notes, produced by vineyards that stretch 4,700 ha along the Rhone. The latter, with an area of 71,000 ha, is much more important, and this is evident of course in its annual production of red, rosé and white wines quite unlike those of the Northern Rhone., this region is 3 million hectolitres per year of red wines, rosés, dry and sparkling white wines, and natural sweet wine..
