André michel pierlot founded the company in 1812, which later took the name of veuve laurent-perrier. In 1948, bernard de nonancourt became ceo of domaine laurent perrier. At the time, the estate had just twenty employees and produced 80,000 bottles. Laurent perrier la cuvée is made with over 50% chardonnay, 30% pinot noir, and 10-20% pinot meunier. Pale gold in color, with fine, persistent bubbles and a delicate nose of flowers, citrus and white fruit. The palate is supple, delicate and fresh, with remarkable balance and a roundness of flavors. Ideal as an aperitif, with fish and seafood (shellfish velouté), as well as white meat and poultry dishes (rabbit terrine, poule au pot). "A sure value with great finesse, but also the power of a very ripe reserve wine. Delicate and floral on the palate, followed by a beautiful vinosity of candied fruit. Striking citrus finish".
