In a few words ...

A Castillon located three rows from the Saint-Emilion Grands Crus, vinified by louis mitjaville, son of the famous owner of tertre roteboeuf. The 19-hectare estate is planted with 85% Merlot and Cabernet Franc on clay-limestone soils. Louis specializes in growing Merlot. He keeps only the lowest bunches, which arrive, ripen and are harvested at the same time. L'aurage 2009: notes of cherries, blackberries and coffee. The palate is rich, warm, full-bodied and persistent. The wood is perfectly controlled and the tannins are silky. haute couture, modern style, a sure bet.

Tasting notes

Aroma

On the nose, cherry, blackcurrant and redcurrant combine in a beautiful farandole of ripe fruit, spiked with toasty, tangy notes.

Taste

The palate is full of ripe fruit. The tannins, obviously present, melt with dignity into the volume and persistence of the grain.
