Domaine de Coste Chaude grows 23 hectares of vines on a hilltop east of Visan at an altitude of around 360 meters, giving the wines a natural freshness! This Côtes du Rhône Villages Visan is a fine, easy-drinking Syrah-Grenache blend. The Grenache Noir and part of the Syrah are aged in concrete tanks. The remaining Syrah is aged in demi-muids for a minimum of 12 months.

Dark purple color.
Aroma
Intense nose reminiscent of black fruits (blackberry, blackcurrant) and rosemary.

Taste
On the palate, a lovely freshness accompanies notes of ripe cherries. The tannins melt away, and the smooth finish is surprising, ending on notes of cloves, with a fresh framework that lasts a long time on the palate.

The appellation Côtes-du-Rhône-Villages Visan is part of the region of Vallée du Rhône from France which include Domaine de Coste Chaude and its 15 cuvées. Spread over The Rhone Valley and its rich, complex terroirs. The region is divided into two distinct subregions: Northern Rhone (known as Rhône Septentrional) and Southern Rhone (Rhône Méridional). In the former we find strong wines in beautiful colours with warm, spicy notes, produced by vineyards that stretch 4,700 ha along the Rhone. The latter, with an area of 71,000 ha, is much more important, and this is evident of course in its annual production of red, rosé and white wines quite unlike those of the Northern Rhone., this region is 3 million hectolitres per year of red wines, rosés, dry and sparkling white wines, and natural sweet wine..
