More than forty years ago, latium morini was founded as an agricultural enterprise: small, modest, but full of enthusiasm. Until recently, the produce from the vineyards was donated to the local cooperative winery. Today, seven brothers, sisters and cousins have inherited the farm, which has grown to a considerable size and demands their full energy and zeal. A love of the countryside and the pleasures of winegrowing were essential factors in the birth of latium morini. They produce top-quality wines typical of the region, such as soave and valpolicella, as well as exceptional ripasso and amarone. This is the quintessence of the warm illasi region, whose elegance is the result of a past steeped in history. The origins of the village can be traced back to the ancient Romans who, on their way to conquer faraway lands, found it an ideal place to grow vines, olives and fruit trees. The locals called them latii, meaning 'those from latium', and considered them forresti, or foreigners. The ancient remains - stones unearthed by chance while working the soil - proudly acknowledge that they are the repositories of two thousand years of history. The name latium thus reminds anyone who appreciates good wine that the estate has ancient and noble roots, just like the style of its wines: traditional and noble. Allergene:enthält sulfite
