Ruby red with violet highlights. Delicate, typical violet floral notes, complemented by fruity notes of plums and sweet cherries and completed by a sweet, spicy finish. Medium body, wonderfully balanced with an integrated acid structure. The grapes for Chianti are harvested in early September. After harvesting, the grapes are gently pressed, alcoholic fermentation begins on the must and continues for 12 days at controlled temperatures of 26°c in concrete tanks. ruffino was founded in 1877 in pontassieve, near florence, by the two cousins ilario and leopoldo ruffino. Their focus on growing quality grapes and exploiting the specific terroirs of their vineyards quickly made them a household name. Thanks to the care they took in the vineyard and cellar, the ruffino name quickly became synonymous with particularly clean, well-balanced wines. After the Second World War, ruffino acquired Villa di Montemasso, its first estate in the Chianti Classico region. Thanks to the acquisition of other wineries in Tuscany's best-known sub-regions, today ruffino can offer chianti classico, brunello di montalcino and vino nobile di montepulciano under a single brand, while the wineries behind it continue to exist. Today, Ruffino is one of the world's best-known wineries, representing the consistency and quality of Chianti and Tuscany. It's no surprise that ruffino chianti docg received its very first guarantee band in 1984, when chianti was first recognized as a docg wine. Allergene:enthält sulfite
