The incredible potential of Sicilian rosé wines inspired the alliance between the Oddo and Planeta families, a combination of Provence and Sicily. The natural alchemy between Nero d'Avola and Syrah has contributed to the creation of a great rosé with a unique personality. Produced from plots cultivated on the heights of Serra Ferdinandea, and vinified in the Provençal style, our rosé is characteri... zed by a great aromatic freshness in which the Nero d'Avola evokes oral scents reminiscent of violets, and the Syrah intense citrus notes. the two varieties, hand-picked at different times, are crushed and destemmed then sent to the membrane press, where the must fraction is rapidly extracted until it reaches the desired color. The resulting must is then transferred to stainless steel tanks, where it is kept for a few days in cold storage. It is then racked, inoculated and fermented at 15°C. After fermentation, the wines are kept on their lees until January, when they are blended. Read more
