The rising star' is how marco porello is described in English-speaking countries. His convincing wines have made a big name for themselves there in a short space of time, and he's convincing here too with his original wines. Since 1994, he has been managing the family estate in Canale, and from the outset has invested a great deal of strength and energy in the old vineyards and the latest cellar techniques. Most of the vines were planted in the 19th century. For him, work in the vineyards is the most important thing. He spends over 2,000 hours a year in the vineyards and, carried away by his passion, often forgets about time. He knows and studies every plot, every soil formation and every microclimate. He cultivates his roero arneis on just 4 hectares. His nebbiolo-based roero torretta regularly receives the coveted three glasses of gambero rosso. Only around 6,000 bottles of this gem are bottled each year. Its birbet, made from brachetto grapes, is a rare specialty. It's a sparkling regional specialty, with a residual sweet taste, made from semi-fermented pigeon must. This is why it has an alcohol content of only 5% vol. Allergene:enthält sulfite
