In a few words ...

Our flagship wines, Rouges jumellés, take their names from the famous pair of lovers of the Middle Ages. Abélard, an exceptional theologian and philosopher, and his passionate, clandestine romance with his brilliant pupil Heloïse condemned them both to a forced and tragic separation. Their love survived decades of monastic seclusion through a passionate and erudite correspondence. The uncompromising love of Abélard and Héloïse best embodies our own convictions. The free combination of intellectual inquiry, passion and perseverance that emerges from their correspondence has served as a true model for us.
