It was in 1997 that this grand cru classé in the Saint-Julien appellation, of great lineage, was acquired by the Merlaut family. Château Gruaud-Larose has a 300-year tradition of excellence in winegrowing, and cannot deny its legendary finesse. This "wine of kings and king of wines", according to the house motto, is the fruit of a passionate dedication to shaping nectars with floral fragrances (Larose) and the inimitable minerality of Graves (Gruaud). J. Suckling: 95-96/100
