In a few words ...
"After working in several Saint-Émilionnais wineries, Marien Nègre took over this small 1.9-hectare vineyard in 2006, located at the foot of the Saint-Hippolyte hillside, to the east of the appellation, and comprising several small plots planted with Merlot alone and ploughed with a horse." (Guide Hachette). This young owner and winemaker, Marien Negre, has turned his vineyards towards green, sustainable viticulture, with no chemical weeding. The resulting wine is authentic, fruity, with hints of blackcurrant, and made using traditional methods.
"The structure of this small estate enables us to make an authentic, fruity wine with notes of blackcurrant and ripe red fruit, as close as possible to traditional methods."
