Geographical location: At the gateway to the Alsace wine route, Marlenheim and its exceptional terroir, the Steinklotz. At an altitude of 200-300 m, this steeply sloping hillside rests on a "limestone block". Facing south/southeast, this terroir enjoys maximum sunshine. Its stony subsoil is highly conducive to heat accumulation. Vinification: Grapes harvested by hand when ripe. Pneumatic pressing. Static cold settling, temperature-controlled alcoholic fermentation. Aged on fine lees for 4 to 6 months. The wine is then racked, filtered and bottled.
Appearance
Beautiful golden yellow color
Aroma
Intense, elegant, highly aromatic. Notes of rose enhanced by slightly peppery spices. Exotic hint of lychee.
Taste
Very well-balanced. Beautiful roundness contrasted by an acidity that enhances the aromas of roses and spices suggested on the nose.
