The di lenardo family has been producing wine in the small village of ontagnano near udine since the early 19th century. Today, the estate owns 38 hectares of vineyards and processes only its own grapes. Over the past 15 years, the estate has undergone a gradual transformation. The vineyards have been replanted with carefully selected clones (up to 6,000 plants per hectare), yields are strictly limited, and the winery is equipped with the most modern techniques. But most importantly, massimo di lenardo is not only handsome and extremely charismatic, he is also highly motivated to produce exceptional wines full of character. He shows that grave del friuli produces wines that are no match for the beauty of its dreamy landscapes. One of his central themes is terroir. Each of his single-varietal wines comes from a single plot that offers the best conditions for the grape variety in question. His wines are a perfect reflection of the terroir.
