In a few words ...

The village of Gevrey-Chambertin is located in the heart of the Côte de Nuits, between Dijon and Nuits-Saint-Georges. The vineyard faces east, giving it great potential. The complex soils are composed of marl, clay and limestone. The Clos Prieur 1er Cru lies at the center of the appellation, just opposite the Grand Cru Mazis-Chambertin.

A truly powerful wine with a long finish. It's best to let it age further to obtain its full quintessence.

I finally tasted this wine from Louis Max after being a little disappointed by the Pommard, which was still too young. The nose is noble, still tannins on the palate, but after the second glass they no longer predominate. A fine discovery.
