Beerenausle means "selection of noble grapes". This wine comes from one of the estate's best sites, the "Geyersberg". Only grapes affected by noble rot (botrytis) are harvested at the "sûr-maturation" stage, which begins at the end of October. The grapes are generally harvested as late as possible and sorted by hand, producing a sweet wine with high natural acidity and very high residual sugar content.
