The winemaker

Apart from a few bottles of Rosé, production is concentrated on its range of CAHORS AOC wines, of which Expression is one of the flagships of the "Cahors Excellence" Charter. 35 ha - 200,000 bottles 97% Red (Malbec, Merlot, Tannat) 3% Rosé (Malbec, Merlot) Situated in the western part of the appellation, Château Lamartine occupies a special place in the Cahors vineyard. Its exceptional location favors early ripening of the grapes, ensuring regular vintages. Its 35 hectares of south-facing vineyards make it a prestigious cru on a privileged terroir. A fervent defender of agro-environmental ethics, Alain Gayraud attaches great importance to working the soil. The result is a living balance from which the vines draw the minerals necessary for the concentration and complexity of great wines. In addition, leaf thinning and green harvesting ensure the regularity of a moderate yield.
