The winemaker

A land of character and promising vineyards


Château du Pouey comprises 22 hectares of vines located on an excellent clay-gravel terroir. In addition to the sunshine, reasoned cultivation techniques and well-tilled, grass-covered soil give the wine its rich aromas. It combines three appellations: Madiran for the red, Pacherenc de Vic Bilh for the white, and IGP Côtes de Gascogne for the rosé.

These three appellations are available under six labels. The originality of the work done at Château du Pouey is very real on the palate, but each of these six wines is faithful to its appellation. The reds are particularly easy-drinking and full of character, making them ideal for regional cuisine.
