Château combel la serre - au cerisier 2020the château combel la serre is located in the cahors region in the lot, in the southwest of france. It was founded in 1998 by jean-pierre and martine ilbert. Jean-pierre used to work in a cooperative winery, which he decided to leave to set up on the plot of combel where they live and which is covered in vines. La serre is the name of the plot opposite where the farm buildings are located. In the first few years, they sold the wine in bulk, by the hectoliter, in order to start investing in the business: building a new winery, buying vats and winemaking equipment, etc. In 2003, when the son, I, decided to buy a new winery, I decided to start my own business. In 2003, when the son, Julien, officially took up residence with his parents, they took a new direction and decided to sell their wine in bottles. Today, the estate extends over 23 hectares, cultivated using certified organic methods.au cerisier is entirely made from black Malbec grapes. The grapes come from a single plot of red clay on limestone bedrock at an altitude of 350 m on the causse, in a place called « rassiels ».
