Once upon a time, there was a Savoyard mayor who wanted to re-enact regain - a novel by jean giono published in 1930 -, a biodynamic winegrower who wanted to transpose his convictions and a young man from Champagne who was looking for a vineyard where he could express his personality... this is neither a fairy tale, nor an unpublished jean giono opus. It's a human adventure that began in 1997 in the small village of cevins, deep in the valley that leads to albertville. Above the village, a steep hillside was once planted with vines for food. Each family had its own plot of land: 420 plots for 250 owners and 250 wines worthy of the piquette sung by Jean Ferrat. Economic difficulties and depopulation killed off the last of the production, apart from that of two unyielding brothers. The land became overgrown, until denis perroux, the village mayor, saw replanting as a project to bring his constituents together. Despite numerous obstacles, he obtained the necessary funding and convinced the notary to proceed with the sales. For this crazy project, passionate people like michel grisard, a hard-core biodynamic winemaker from fréterive, and brice omont were needed. Twenty hectares
