The winemaker
In the scree of Mont Granier, which collapsed in 1248, at the foot of an 800 m cliff, lies an area known as "Abymes du Granier", where vines have been cultivated for centuries. This terroir is home to Savoie's largest wine-growing area, with the Apremont and Abymes crus.
In the heart of the Savoyard mountains and at the foot of the Chartreuse massif, Yannick Uchet created the estate in 2006. The vineyard extends over several communes 10 km south of Chambéry, between 250 and 450 meters above sea level.
The vines of different grape varieties are cultivated with respect for nature and tradition, from pruning to harvesting. The grapes are hand-picked to ensure optimum quality and exceptional flavor.
Vinified and bottled in our own cellars, we use only the natural yeasts from our grapes, and we give our wines rigorous attention and control throughout their ageing process, right up to the moment they go on sale. Our aim is to bring you all the richness of our terroir, right into your glass.
