The winemaker
We are an independent winegrower, owner and harvester located in the Combe de Savoie, on the slopes of the Bauges Natural Park. Our vineyard extends on scree slopes of clay and limestone. It benefits from a microclimate, protection from the wind and an exceptional southern exposure.
This very precocious terroir allows the cultivation of all the traditional Savoyard grape varieties, including the forgotten ones, which are available in more than 40 vintages. We offer both traditional grape varieties such as Jacquère, Chignin, Roussette de Savoie, Chignin Bergeron, Mondeuse and rare and forgotten grape varieties such as Persan, Mondeuse Blanche, Malvoisie, Douce Noire, Etraire de l'Adui.
From winemaker to winemaker at Fréterive Benoit & Laetitia represent the 5th generation, with Jean-Pierre and Marie-Jo Grisard at their side. Our terroir wines, made from biodiversity, combine classicism and trendiness: a source of pleasure.
