The winemaker

Mayard vineyards

The first written records of Châteauneuf du Pape viticulture date back to 1923. Already, the estate could boast of putting wine on France's finest tables. Today, the story is much the same. Spread over 43 hectares, the Mayard vineyards enjoy a plethora of geological formations. Pebbles, sand, limestone, red sandstone, clay... In each case, the vines take advantage to reveal hitherto unsuspected flavors.

Wines from Mayard vineyards

Of the five wines produced under the Mayard appellation, four are red. These are Clos du calvaire, Père Pape, Crau de ma mère and Confidence. Produced in very small quantities, the white version of Crau de ma mère is the estate's only white wine.
