Fine, attractive chimney-red color with purple nuances. Fine, fruity nose with notes of fresh cherries, strawberries and red currants. On the palate, riper notes of cherry and blueberry dominate, along with light 'garrigue' aromas of thyme and herbes de provence. Round and fine, expressive with a wonderfully fruity, sweet finish. The vines are located in the classified Vacqueyras region, on tertiary sedimentary soils with rolled pebbles which, thanks to their ability to retain heat, give the grapes their fine concentration. In addition, there are plots with sandy soils that give the grapes their finesse. Harvesting is carried out exclusively by hand, with a rigorous selection of appropriate grapes. Then, cold maceration to perfectly extract color and aromas. Fermentation at controlled temperatures of 25°c and 30°c in the final phase. The fermenting wine is pumped over twice a day to perfectly develop the aromas. The wine is aged for 12 months, including 10% in barrels, to give it its unique structure. No filtration before bottling! The Roux family acquired Château du Trignon in 1896 and has since transformed it over five generations, from a diversified traditional agricultural estate to one focused on high-quality viticulture, with properties in the Gigondas, Rasteau, Sablet and Côtes du Rhône regions. This commitment to quality has resulted in numerous investments in the vineyards and the construction of modern, temperature-controlled cellars. In 2007, the Quot family took over the estate, seduced by the expressive wines and the 'dentelles de montmirail', a rocky landscape made up of several small ridges.
