The "les granits" cuvée owes its name to the granite dominance of its terroir. The slope and orientation facilitate both soil drainage and sunshine, and the grapes show remarkable ripeness year after year. This is a rich wine with superb ageing potential in its best years. this 2017 is superbly successful. Dark garnet color. The nose is mineral, with smoky, jammy notes of ripe black fruit. The pa... late is dominated by peppery notes and beautifully sustained by very tight tannins and exceptional persistence. 100% Syrah.
