The winemaker
The Fiole du Pape cuvée is emblematic of Maison Brotte. It was in 1952, as part of a local competition, that Charles Brotte invented the very special bottle design for the Fiole du Pape cuvée, now available in red, white and rosé. The bottle's strange, singular shape was inspired by the wild movement of the grapevine struck by the mistral wind in the Rhône Valley. This great Châteauneuf-du-Pape wine is made from a blend of several vintages of our best cuvées, aged with the know-how acquired over generations. Today, Maison Brotte's Fiole du Pape is the world's best-selling bottle of Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
